Jackson Kayak SUPerFISHal Review
The new SUPerFISHal from Jackson Kayak is an awesome standup paddle board that is right at home in the creeks and rivers I love to fish. Standup paddle boards or SUPs are usually found in saltwater, but these rotomolded boards are tough and built like the rest of Jackson Kayak's fishing kayak line. I have been blown away by the stability, simplicity, and overall fishability of this board. I can stand and fish through class II rapids, fly fish, and handle charging striped bass all while standing. This board is River Stalkers approved! -
Rigging a SUPerFISHal paddleboard and then wade fishing a small creek in Alabama
This video shows you how I unload the SUPerFISHal and rig it up as I start my adventure on the water. The paddleboard is light enough for me to carry it down to the water. I strap my Orion Cooler and Kraken Krate down quickly with cam straps and bungees. Then I'm rollin'.
Once on the water, I'm able to pull the whole system up and over a small dam to access unpressured water.
This water in the video was about 6-inches deep on average. I had 4 major topwater explosions and some near landings, but at the end of the day, I only boated a keeper spotted bass and one snake.
After seeing so many snakes and after one snake kept trying to attack me, I was just fortunate to make it out without the skunk and without some animal's venom. I'm still thinking about the bass that jumped 3-feet into the air. How did it throw the hooks?
